Artisanal winery located seven kilometres outside Toro, Spain, where the Diez-Rodríguez family elaborates its precious wines, praised by international critics and consumers alike.
Inspired by the longstanding Toro’s winegrowing tradition inherited from their mother, Carmen Rodríguez, Guillermo and Luis Ángel oversee the exhaustive care of the vineyards, which are tended to with love and devotion, as well as the meticulous process that will transform the prized Toresian grape (TINTA DE TORO) into an essential wine.
The centuries old vineyards, unmoved by time, have been silent witnesses to the rich history kept by the faithful and noble Toro, city of kings and royalty. These young entrepreneurs continue their grandparents’ work, combining tradition and modernity to produce their beloved red wine: CARDORUM.
The artisanal craft and the limited production allow the brothers to devote all their energy and attention to achieving the final product’s unsurpassable quality. They have found a way to preserve the art and tradition of winemaking (the use of clay jars, wood vats and oak barrels) while incorporating 21st Century equipment (stainless steel tanks, leading grape processing technology and latest generation computers).
We strongly recommend not missing out on the opportunity of visiting this wonderful winery, whose foundation stone was laid in 2003. Thanks to this great family’s constant work, overtime CARODORUM has become a touchstone of the Toro’s Designation of Origin, both within and without Spanish borders.
